Currently serving as a member of the Panel of Advisers is Dato' Dr Mani Jegathesan, who was once "Asia's fastest man". He is also the Deputy President of the OCM.

Also on the panel is another athletic of fame, Marina Chin. Olympian and former Malaysian hockey captain, Dato' Ho Koh Chye is another prominent member of the Panel of Advisors. He was also a former Executive Director of SportExcel.

The Panel of Advisers meets at least twice a year or as necessary to advise the Executive Board as well as the Executive Director on matters concerning the administration of SportExcel with particular emphasis on its programs.

To date, the Panel of Advisors, has played a major role in helping SportExcel position itself as a driving force behind the development of Malaysian sport.
